Hawthorn is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 7 kilometers north-east of Melbourne’s central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Boroondara. At the 2011 Census, Hawthorn had a population of 12,008.

The suburb is arguably Melbourne’s most affluent suburb and has some of the city’s most prestigious real estate. It has a reputation for being one of the most affluent suburbs in Melbourne and is known as the home of the city’s most affluent and influential residents.

Hawthorn, Melbourne is one of the coolest suburbs in Melbourne. It is home to many great cafes and coffee shops and is a great place to go for a walk to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. There is a wonderful walk called the Melba Walk that will take you through the heart of the city and back through the gardens surrounding the Royal Botanic Gardens. Melbourne is famous for its coffee and food and I always try to go to a new cafe every time I visit.

It is one of Melbourne’s oldest suburbs and has a wonderful sense of community. It has the reputation of being a great place to raise a family and is very peaceful with a mixture of residential and commercial buildings.  There is a large park called Wattle Park that is a great place to go for a walk and a picnic on weekends.  Hawthorn is also one of Melbourne’s premier shopping areas with the major intersection of Glenferrie Road and Toorak Road boasting many shops, cafes, and restaurants.  The area has two train stations and is very close to the major shopping precinct of Chadstone.

The Hawthorn Football Club is one of the most successful clubs in the history of the VFL/ AFL. The club has won a record 16 VFL/AFL premierships, more than any other club. The club is known for its unique black-and-gold vertical stripes, guernsey design, and the history of its supporters who are known as “The Koopas”.

The history of Hawthorn Football Club dates back to the early years of the Victorian football league in the mid-19th century. The club was formed in 1858 as the Hawthorn Football Club in the English town of Hawthorn by George Smith and J.B. Collier. In the club’s first season, it played its home games at the Hawthorn Institute and only had four members. It changed its name to the “Hawthorn Football Club” in 1859. The club adopted its present name in the 1890s.

In the club’s early days, it only had a few players, which did not have a great impact on its results. In the late 19th century, the club’s first major breakthrough came when it won the Victorian Football Association (VFA) junior premiership in 1877. It was the first club in the country to do so.

The club’s first VFL season was in 1898. From 1898 to 1900, the club played its home games at the Hawthorn Sports Ground. In 1902, it moved to the Hawthorn Municipal Oval
