Johnstone Park Beach is a beautiful beach located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Geelong. It is very popular amongst locals and tourists alike as it comprises of two beach coves and is sheltered and protected from the ocean swell. The beach is patrolled during the summer season to ensure the safety of swimmers, while the calm waters make it ideal for swimming and sailing. The beach offers all the facilities that you need including showers and toilets, as well as a picnic area, barbecues, and a playground. In addition, it has a large grassy area for children to play and picnic.

Johnstone Park is a beautiful green space located in the heart of Geelong Victoria. The park is perfect for a leisurely stroll, picnicking with friends or family, or simply enjoying the scenic view.

The Park is a tourist destination. Tourists visit the park for a variety of fun activities, which include: playing golf, walking, cycling and riding bikes, climbing and walking the suspension bridge, taking a ride in the horse drawn cart, playground, activity centre, mini golf and visiting the gift shop.

The trails in Johnstone Park are a favorite place for locals and tourists alike, as there are over 10 kilometers of trails here. There are two main routes you can follow, the Park Loop Trail and the Picnic Area Loop Trail. The Park Loop Trail is 2.3 kilometers long, while the Picnic Area Loop Trail is 1.7 kilometers long. Both trails are relatively easy, so they are great for beginners and children. Both trails are also dog-friendly, so it is a good idea for dogs, too.

The park boasts of a vast range of recreational and sports activities. There is something for everyone. The park has hosted numerous events, such as the UCI World Cycling Championship in 2005. The park also features numerous pathways for walking and cycling, two lakes, a skate park, basketball and tennis courts, and a boating lake.

The park has many facilities including a 2 km walking/cycleway, sporting fields, picnic and bbq areas, playground, a man-made lake, and the famous 120 metre giant Wombat. The park is also home to the historic and heritage listed Captain Cook Memorial Fountain, and the gardens surrounding the fountain.

Johnstone Park offers so much for families to do. It has a great playground with swings, slides, monkey bars, and climbing apparatus. It boasts two tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool. It also hosts local events, such as an annual fete and Christmas celebrations.
