Belmont, Victoria 

 

Belmont is a southern suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The name means “beautiful hill”. Belmont is geographically separated from the Geelong central business district by the Barwon River. The suburb is primarily residential, with some light industry along Barwon Heads Road. The suburb is part of the City of Greater Geelong local government area. At the 2011 census, Belmont had a population of 13,616.

The Barwon River is a perennial river of the Corangamite catchment, located in The Otways and the Bellarine Peninsula regions of the Australian state of Victoria. The river rises in the Otway Ranges and flows generally north by east and then east, joined by thirteen tributaries including the Leigh and Moorabool rivers and flowing through Lake Connewarre, before reaching its mouth and emptying into Bass Strait at Barwon Heads. The river flows adjacent to the settlement of Winchelsea and the city of Greater Geelong. The estuarine section of the river forms part of the Port Phillip Bay (Western Shoreline) and Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar Site as a wetland of international importance, as well as of the Bellarine Wetlands Important Bird Area. From its highest point including its source confluence, the river descends 295 metres (968 ft) over its 160-kilometre (99 mi) course.

Lake Connewarre is a shallow estuarine 880-hectare (2,200-acre) lake on the Barwon River, is located on the Bellarine Peninsula southeast of Geelong in the Australian state of Victoria.

The city of Belmont, Victoria, is a suburb just north of Melbourne, Australia. It is one of Australia’s oldest established cities, and is home to just under 25,000 people. It is known for its many parks, golf courses, museums, and art galleries. Belmont is also home to the Melbourne Zoo, and each year hosts the Belmont Art Show, which is a juried art show for public viewing.

Belmont is the solo album from Belmont Radio, a solo project from Kevin Doyle. The album was released on July 10, 2015, on July 9, 2015, via Doyle’s own label, 2605 Recordings. Doyle produced the entire album himself.

The Belmont neighborhood is historically known as the “Black community” of Atlanta. It wasn’t always “Black.” When Atlanta was young, it grew to be a majority-white city. The white people, however, left the area.

There are many tourist attractions in Belmont, Victoria. On the first Sunday of each month, Belmont hosts the Belmont Block Party. Locals gather with their families and neighbors to enjoy live music, dancing, and food. Belmont also hosts the Belmont Village Farmer’s Market, held each Saturday and Sunday. The market features local produce, baked goods, honey, and more.

Belmont is a suburb located in a valley and surrounded on three sides by mountains. The valley is home to the Great Dividing Range, which was formed by volcanic activity. This mountain range stretches from the Victorian High Country to the tip of South Australia. The Grampians is one of the mountain ranges in the Great Dividing Range. The Grampians is home to some of Victoria’s most stunning natural scenery.

Belmont, Victoria’s population is about 19,000 and the city’s total population has grown to 40,000. Belmont’s population is white, while Victoria’s population is mixed, with many prominent aboriginal and germanic races. There are 8 elementary schools, 2 high schools, and 1 Adult Literacy Centre.

Many people know Victoria Belmont as the Victoria’s Secret model who appeared in the 2010 movie “The Last Song.” Belmont, a model, actress, and entrepreneur, is the daughter of Joe Belmont, former chairman of the Belmont family’s real estate empire. The Belmont family’s devout Mormon beliefs have inspired Belmont’s philanthropy.
